व्यक्तित्व- पवन गोएन्का

इससे पहले मैं महिंद्रा में कार्यरत था और वहाँ मैं कई बहतरीन लीडर्स से मिला. जिनमे से एक हैं पवन गोएन्का.

ऐसा कोई सक्ष नहीं महिंद्रा में जो पवन गोएन्का को ना जानता हो, पूरा गाड़ी का बाज़ार गोएन्का जी की ही देन है.



आज मैं कुछ बातें करूँगा पवन गोएन्का के बारे में. ये क्या हैं और इनकी जीवनी कैसी है यह तो सब आपको उपरोक्त कड़ियों में मिल जायेंगा, मैं बात करता हूँ कुछ आगे की.अभी हाल ही में मैं इनके बारे में पढ़ रहा था, जिसका विषय था Lunch with BS: Pawan Goenka. मैंने इनकी बात पढ़ी और मुझे वह बहुत अच्छी लगी तो सोचा की आप सब को भी बता दूँ जो कुछ मैंने सीखा.

• he doesn't understand the term work-life balance. "If I enjoy what I do, everything balances out. I take work - and not tension - home on Sundays," he says. बिल्कुल सही कहते हैं ये, यदि हम वह कार्य करें जो हमें पसंद हैं तो हमसे बहतरीन जीवन कोई नही जी सकता और हम सफलता की नयी सीढियाँ चढते जायेंगे, क्योकि तब हम वक्त काटते नहीं बल्कि वक्त को जीते हैं.


• In any case, he believes there are no shortcuts to success. "When Goddess Lakshmi comes to your door, you should be there to open the door for her. Otherwise, she will go away," he says. सफलता का कोई लघु मार्ग नही है. ये १९९३ में महिंद्रा से जुड़े थें और सब्र रख कर, निरंतर प्रयास कर के आज ये एग्जीक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर हैं.


• He, however, hasn't compromised on two things: taking a week's holiday every year with his wife, a cancer patient counsellor, and watching Bollywood blockbusters, if not every Sunday, whenever it's possible. अपने परिवार को नहीं भूलना चाहिये.


• Goenka says an important leadership lesson he has learnt is that one should know how to compartmentalise their various tasks for the day ............when he is thinking auto, then the problem with tractors does not divert his thoughts एक समय पर एक ही कार्य करें , इससे कार्य पूरी लगन से होगा और आपका मन भी विचलित नहीं होगा.


• In 1993, he went by gut feel to join M&M, about which he knew nothing at the time.............Goenka admits it was a huge risk since no one would have imagined then that the Indian auto industry would go through such a spectacular makeover................But the story Anand Mahindra (now M&M chairman) sold him made it worth taking that risk. Mahindra told him M&M had three options: either get out of the auto business and focus on tractors and other things, become a licensee of a big multinational, or develop its own auto capability. But he was inclined to choose the last one and asked whether Goenka would be interested in that kind of a job.आगे बढ़ने के लिए जीवन में जोखिम लेना जरूरी है. 


• Long ago, he had told his mother to watch a TV interview of his. During the commercial break, she casually switched to another channel only to see another of her four sons - a reputed doctor based in Kolkata - giving an interview. "Till her last day, my mother would narrate the story to everyone she met. The pride in her eyes is a memory I treasure," Goenka says. माँ बाप की ख़ुशी से बढकर कुछ नही.

ये सब बातें हमें आम लगती हैं और हम शायद ये सोचें भी की ये तो मुझे पहले से ही पता हैं , पर अंतर है सिर्फ अपनाने का, कोन कोन किसे कैसे अपनाता है.
