Upgrading from android 2.1 to 2.3

With ever increasing demand and features , the android is upgrading to the newer version very fast and then its the problem for the outdated firmwares. I also encountered the same problem.When i purchased my Sony Ericsson W8 , its android firmware was latest but with time it became older. The android version was 2.1 and most of the apps in android market are compatible to android 2.2 and above. so it was the demand to upgrade the firmware , at least to 2.3.

But there was no official release of the upgraded firmware. I searched a lot and found the link to upgrade to an unofficial firmware of android 2.3.

After following all the steps in the link , the mobile experience is just redefined in fact the touch sensitivity, battery backup , all has improved.

This firmware does not contains the Hindi fonts to display Hindi characters.So i found another link to install Hindi fonts.

And now my W8 us updated to android 2.3 and is working superb.
